Who is QUALIFIED to teach tantra? (Teaching vs Preaching)

First, as a ‘teacher’ (instructor/facilitator) of tantra - YOU must be the teaching!!! Your BEING and embodiment teaches, NOT your words. You CAN’T teach tantra unless you have embodied it. Otherwise, you have NOTHING to share. In alchemical practices (such as Taoist/Daoist teachings) this is called 'cooking your qi' ('qi' is your life energy when, but there is also a deeper meaning, that is what you exude in your field).

Second, for these who are studying, how to discern if someone is qualified and has anything real to give you?… Osho put the method of discernment of whether one has embodied a tantric method very bluntly - each meditation and tantric method has a ‘NECTAR’. You have to practice until you ‘extract’ the nectar. So, just like you can’t push and hurry yourself, as a ‘facilitator’ you can’t push another to extract the nectar in themselves. But you can facilitate and hold space for the ‘unfathomable’ to unfold (as a tantra instructor).

(NOTE: But wait, there are so MANY 'tantra teachers' and they post so many sensual videos with 'deep secrets' about love making and relating... I am confused. I also learned some tantra practices, my sex life has improved, etc...

In this fast age of instant gratification, Instagram influencers and our six seconds attention span what to do? And isn't it all tantra? If not, what is then ACTUALLY tantra? More on that later on... )

Even Shiva (the Adi Yogi (First Yogi) and an enlightened being), who left the 112 methods of meditation (encompassing also tantric meditation) of 'Vigyan Bhairav Tantra' said to his consort, Shakti, practice the methods and you will gain experiential understanding of that which you seek. (You will extract the 'nectar'). Talking brings you nowhere, comprehension with the mind is just mental gymnastics. You have to have lived experience and understanding through embodiment.

Daniel Odier in his book ‘Crazy Wisdom of the Yogini’ shares how he took 25 YEARS to embody the methods before bringing them to the Wester world… Most 'tantra teachers' have between a year and 5 years of any kind of experience that would qualify them to share 'tantric' information. So, if you want to learn, practice and embody tantra, you might have to learn slow down. Slowing down comes by entering your body. The body is naturally slower.

Yet, there is so much ‘TANTRA’ shared in the West currently. In the tradition of preaching (inherent from our Christian background) and having been trained listen to ‘knowledge' ('preached'/ instructed) by parents, school teachers, all kinds of authorities and media, we just soak it all in. What is it to be a human? We are given any kind of opinion and message by anyone, but in a nutshell a 'mumbo jumbo' if imprints of everyone else judgements and opinions of what it is to be a 'good human being' laced with their own understanding of morality and rightful behavior... People who preached to us and freely share their opinions are just passing what was given to them and have not taken the time to explore and embody who they actually are. They are passing more or less just words to us (often with a lot of energy behind their judgements, since they feel they know, since they try to live these judgements and are suppressing themselves, so should you).

Similarly, in teaching And a lot of what is being ‘taught’ by ‘tantra teachers’ is just passing in words methods that are superficially understood by these ‘professional tantra teachers’, who effectively are very subtly abusing their students by merely passing the products of their business of choice and selling aggressively in an American influenced model of business (watch the ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ it is quite a curious movie on manipulation and propaganda… In a nut shell, in actuality, the product is always YOU! Does not matter what you are sold. The point is to sell it to you FAST. It can happen only because you feel a sense of ‘lack’… And the easiest thing to sell is 'sex'. It is the primal drive of any being on earth, including humans...

But wait, isn't tantra JUST sex unleashed? It is the easies way to go - we are still so sexually repressed that it is the easiest think to sell.... just watch the most expensive movies and the most successful actors and pop stars. It is on the screen, but not in the majority of people's lives.) How it happens is because there has been so much sexual suppression for so long, that we are like thirsty travelers in a desert. We will take anything! There is no discernment. There is nothing to compare to… Anything sells. Anyone who offers ‘bliss’, ‘ecstasy’, ‘the biggest and longest full body orgasms’, ‘the resolution of our relationship issues and 'karmas’' and/or ‘ever lasting relationship and magic and deepening’ will sell you.

So what to do? HOW to find QUALIFIED teacher?

First, if you are already studying with someone, you have to open all your senses to watch, feel and sense them. Most of us are so numbed up, by facing someone in 'authority' who might also have some charisma, that we might not actually look... we just get lost in their energy of a 'leader'...

In reality and

in a nutshell it is not that complicated, you just have to learn to pay attention and discern. Generally, if your instructor talks one thing (compassion, love, etc.), while teaching, but outside of the training space behaves just like you and has the same challenges, conflicts, dramas, immaturities and childishness, chances are, (however many qualifications, trainings and degrees they have assembled on their ‘tantric resume’) there is nothing of value that they can pass on to you, because they have not matured an

d grown through their own shadows and traumas to embody being. It is like ‘the blind (or one eyed) leading the blind’. They have actually not extracted the 'nectar' of their 'teachings'.

What to do if you are already with a teacher, who you discover has not matured and has not 'embodied' (extracted the 'nectar' of) their teachings? This is really your choice… Mine will be to move on and to continue practicing the methods (if I feel they are bringing transformation for me) and to disengage from that school or individual.

However, the reality is also very simple, your deep dedication (to your own path) and your own unfolding will always attract the teacher who is perfect for you in THIS moment. And your underlying yearning and search is that which MATTERS. This is the same search and yearning, which is underneath the questions: Are you ready to settle with porn type love making? Are you ready to settle with habitual relating, where you hav

e not deeply opened your hearts and beings and you know something is missing (not because there is something wrong with your partner... may be you will find out you always attract the same type of partner... also a subject for different post)…

The answer is always the same. You are where you are ready to settle for and what you yearn for.
